Casper’s story

A little fighter with a big heart Caspar is a red-an-white tomcat who completely changed our lives from one day to the next.

What first seemed like a harmless illness quickly developed into one of the hardest times we had to go through together.

He lost more and more weight, became weaker, and showed neurological symptoms. The diagnosis of FIP turned our world upside down.

The fear of losing him suddenly became very real. After many examinations, vet visits, and sleepless nights, treatment finally began.

From that moment on, the therapy determined our entire daily routine. Weighing him several times a day, carefully giving medication, fixed feeding times, constant observation, and regular dosage adjustments suddenly became part of everyday life. The first few weeks were especially hard. There were worries, uncertainties, and moments when fear was greater than hope.

But Caspar never gave up. Over time, he started eating again, slowly gained weight, and grew stronger week by week. From a weak and sick cat, he once again became a curious, happy, and affectionate young tomcat.

Today he plays, cuddles, loves sleeping in bed, and enjoys his life to the fullest again. The treatment was completed successfully. Caspar's story shows that an FIP diagnosis no longer automatically means a death sentence. With the right treatment, patience, support, and a great deal of love, hopelessness can turn into hope again. We are endlessly grateful to all the people who accompanied us on this journey.
