Odin Recovery - German
FIP after 84 days of treatment
Under observation since April 24, 2026!
By B. and A. Hieber
This is Odin, our 8-year-old Maine Coon male cat!
At the end of January 2026, during emergency surgery for suspected
intestinal obstruction, FIP was suspected in Odin! All of Odin’s organs
were affected, and there was no longer any intestinal activity present! The intestines were
revitalized, and our veterinarian immediately began treatment for
FIP! Odin had been in an induced coma for just under 3 days when we decided
to say goodbye, and just as we were about to tell the vet
the next day, she said: Odin is awake, he’s eating,
and no longer showing any signs of pain! That same day, we brought him
home on a trial basis! For the first 10 days or so, we gave him injections,
and then switched to pills!

After about 2.5 weeks, no one would have guessed what a sick
cat Odin was! He’s gained weight again and is completely our Odin once more,
just as he was before the end of January!
Odin is simply doing great!
We could watch Odin every day as he got better and better!
His eyes cleared up again, and his tilted head posture returned to normal day by day!
His sense of balance came back!
Odin finished his treatment on April 23! And we are so incredibly
grateful that, thanks to the treatment with Bliss, we can celebrate his 9th
birthday on April 26, 2026!
